When Jethro wanted to be a movie star/stuntman, he came up with a name to match others. (Compared to: Dash Riprock, Crunch Hardtack, Bolt Upright, Race Burly, and Biff Steele.) Jethro became known as "Beef Jerky".

If I had a child and my last name was Dent....
Rip's real first name was "Elmore". He told me that when he was a young actor, he kept getting introduced as Elmer and Elmo, so he changed it to "Rip".

I'm using a 1989 Adcom 545 for my SDA CRS+ and that combination sounds awesome. You can find Adcom's (545/555) for sale constantly on eBay and marketplace for cheap. They are super easy to work on plus you can do all types of upgrades to those amps.

But, I do remember Ann Margrock.

Agreed; I don't see any watch out for anvils falling off cliffs characters.

FS: Polk 2.3TL SDAs with upgrades everywhere- $1700
Hi everyone- posting from Austin, TX.
I'm selling my pair of 2.3TL's with interconnect cable. They are beautiful and sound great and have been refreshed to last another 40 years.
BTW- These are my second set to sell - I sold the first set on this forum back in 2007 and have bought and sold a bunch of stuff over time here. Feel free to look at my threads here in the forum, where I documented the upgrades to both 2.3TLs over time.
What's been done:
1. secure magnets on drivers with loctite power grab all purpose
2. Drill and install set of Larry's Rings (Thanks Larry!)
3. Replace tweeters with 6 new RDO 198s I received last month
4. Install refreshed crossovers that David Shirly / DHS speaker service rebuilt for me that look awesome and sound even better
Local pickup preferred, or I'm willing to meet you somewhere convenient for both us. Like you're from Dallas, we could meet in Waco, or you're from Houston we could meet in La Grange (yes, that ZZ Top La Grange). with the speakers in my truck. We can work out the logistics if you're truly interested.
I've been powering these with a Parasound A21 that I bought new from Safe & Sound. We can talk if you're interested it that.
Please contact me here on the forum if you are interested. Happy to take more pics, talk on the phone, etc. Thanks!
Chris

You can’t go wrong with a John Curl design. My Parasound Halo A23+ can even power my old Ohm F speakers.
