Re: Any dental professionals here?
I had a dentist try to get me to spend 25K for snap-in dentures. His plan, with a buddy oral surgeon, was something they came up with called....PLAN X.F them.
I need dentures and just maybe...I'll contact some other places this year. Maybe I'll pass overand won't need any anymore.
That's right Tony. Once you check out you don't have to worry about doing the bed....or anything else for that matter.

Re: Recommend a good Universal Remote
I looked at the SofaBaton. I feel like that overkill for my needs(2 devices), plus i don't like dealing with "apps". Looks like i can get the 650 for around $25
@vulcan There are threads on AVS Forum about older Harmony models no longer being supported and also issues programming depending on what operating system you are using. It might be prudent to verify before purchasing.
I don't know which three has the best information but most of them are here:

Re: SRT Manual and remote
Hey SeliniumFalcon thank you very much for the manual. HzTweaker, thank you for the welcome. I replaced the drivers because every single one had the surround blown out. I suppose it is what I expected for this vintage of speakers. I hesitantly used Dayton drivers but I have put them through their paces and they sound better than the originals. I could not find someone to rebuild them otherwise I would have done it.
I worked at Sony Only many years ago and sold and installed these speakers at a few different houses. I always wanted a set but never had the space for them. When we bought our new house it had the perfect room for them.

Re: Recommend a good Universal Remote
There are 650s on ebay...used of course, but I'm still using a used one for the last 24 months and still going strong. It's a crap shoot but there are decent ones out there for much less than $100

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
Ugh. Last weekend, I dug into an Akai X-1810D RTR tape deck from my dad's collection. It appears that a mouse (or two, three???) decided to take-up residence in the tape deck cabinet. Apparently, they took a liking to certain wires...or insulators.

And the headphone jack wiring:

There was also a LOT of green rat/mouse poison pellets (and dust) 'stored' inside the cabinet. The little guys thought the poison was so tasty, they stockpiled it inside the tape deck cabinet.
Some wire paths got totally replaced, and some got a heat-shrink tubing layer added. I'm happy to report that everything is working, but do still need to replace the VU meter lamps.
