Re: IT finally happened
By the way fellas, I realize it's not common practice to post personal pics as I have and understanding that so many of us are "cyber" friends, actual friendships do materialize from the common "thread" that we share, it has been my honor to be able to share a little of my personal life with y'all.
So again, I thank all that have supported me through this and have given me encouragement as well as the kind words.
I can remember back in 2010 when I joined, living up in WA and telling @txcoastal1 that I was a misplaced Texan just waiting to get back home. And now, after a rough journey and 15 years later......I finally made it. It's good to be part of this crew!

Re: How to connect two power amps to a single pre amp to run the power amps as two mono blocks?
Or these if your amps are close enough together…

60th Birthday Bash for @nooshinjohn - SoCal
Hey everyone, @nooshinjohn just turned the big six zero and I thought I'd see if anyone in the SoCal area would be interested in a gathering to celebrate with him. Location would be my home in North San Diego County. No specific date just yet but likely towards the middle of August. Gauging interest in who might be able to attend. Post here or PM me if interested.

I don't think she has ever caught anything tho

Good looking pup! Had this BlueTick who used to have the personality between a turtle and a sloth and slept 16 hours a day.

Re: How to Safely Remove Light Scratches and Swirl Marks on Polk LSiM 707 (Midnight Mahogany Finish)
Someone has not been kind to them.
As a professional I can say there's no easy solution for you to do at home. Basically, they need to be wet sanded, perhaps up to 2000 grit, then resprayed with 10-15 sheen lacquer. Therefore, I suggest you seek out a pro shop.

Re: Power to drive R700
The Rotel 1582 MK II would be a good match. Good deal too if it's in good shape with a full warranty. Especially considering new retail is $2500.
The Rotel class A/B are tried and true designs. Haven't really changed much in the last 30 years! Other than having different model numbers and casework for the faceplate. I think they've even been using the same WBT looking binding posts for 20 years.
The R700s are marketed as having an 8 ohm nominal impedance. It's probably a little lower in reality and one of the reasons why the Crutchfield reps are saying to get a high current capable amp.

Re: Power to drive R700
Rotel would be my choice. Rotel can be a little sterile but they do not draw attention to themselves. I've had several friends that have had very dependable results with both the 5 channel and 2 channel versions in home theater or music.
Their class D amps were horrible IMHO.
