Re: Legend L800's - Need Advice & Opinions
If Polk had released a souped up throw back of the crs and 2b... I truly think that would have been super successful.
BINGO!!!

You should make sure you are buying one left and one right speaker, if I remember correctly Polk shipped some pairs of two left or two right speakers.

Re: METALLICA
Night two was absolutely 💯 punch you in the mouth attitude, Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera, and Metallica hitting the stage with their heaviest classic songs, was a lot of in your face energy.
Definitely one of the heaviest shows I have seen in many years, but to say I’m getting too old for some of this, is an understatement.🤣
Lars gets a lot of hate when it comes to being a drummer, but that guy at his age has to be physically fit, to play that long and hard as he does, the guy literally had sweat running down him the whole show.
Glad we went, but I highly doubt I would do it again, and put myself through it all. Getting older sucks at times, but better than the alternative..😀

Re: Legend L800's - Need Advice & Opinions
I agree with what Trey and Jesse have said, but I can also say that I found the L800 to be a better speaker in my space than my 1.2 TL’s were. Some have reported difficulty in placing them, but I found that not to be a problem at all if you follow the instructions which seemed to originate with the original SDA speakers. I have my own place to 7 feet apart, and 8 inches off the back wall. They are also placed on the long wall in my space. Others have tried to do this on the short wall in their listening space and have run into sound issues because they’re not given enough space to breathe. If you were getting a mismatch pair at a very good price, I would not hesitate to give them a try because anything below $3000 you’re not going to find a speaker that will not perform these regardless of what you buy.

Having spent some time with the L800, it is a very very good speaker. As long as you are willing to put in the effort I think you would be happy. They can be said of any loudspeaker
As far as why the L800 didn't preform sales wise.. I think we can all agree that the L800 speaker is the speaker everyone asked for but didn't ask for.

Just my opinion
