Re: I'm not into the cold.
The thing that drove me out of Michigan was having to deal with heavy snow overnight and trying to get to work in the AM. That always sucked. The last year I was there (1996), we had something like 10" of wet snow overnight on March 20 (almost the first day of Spring). It took me 2hrs to get to work (normally a 15 minute drive).
Working from home now, I don't know that I would mind it as much. I like the crisp air in brief spells, but 5+ months of dreary skies (around the Great Lakes) would just depress the heck out of you.
Couldn't agree more! We had the same in Illinois with the dreary winters.

Re: I'm not into the cold.
No one hates winter more than I do, I finally moved to South Carolina a month ago and have no regrets!

Chill in the air even here in the South. There's a reason I moved out of
Upstate New York. We seldom see snow. I don't own a snow shovel anymore!
