Re: SDA SRS Speaker set up help
The bass brace was specifically made for earthquake zones. Polk said it also improved bass performance in lieu of spikes. I can say from personal experience that is false. Spikes are far superior.
In addition, the bass brace does not prevent the cabinet from moving in a pivot manner.

Re: What's your limit on Speakers?
It's important to play music loud enough to drown out the ringing in my left ear from tinnitus.

Re: Looking for folk music recommendations - please help!
So only four of the discs I ordered showed up by his birthday, but man - some great titles here! He and I have had a couple listening sessions with this new material so far.
The Wailin’ Jennys is fantastic - it’s hard to believe that it’s a live recording. The way those gals harmonize is wonderful, and I especially appreciate the lack of sibilance with so many female voices AND a live recording on top of that.
Cara Luft may actually end up being a reference disc for me. The production value is on par with Alison Krauss ( and that’s high praise), and the music is very nicely done.
John Renbourn was perhaps the closest thing to what he actually listens to, and he loved it.
John Hartford was a little too country for either of us, but we are going to revisit it in the future.
Thanks again for all the recommendations guys - we both really appreciate it!

About 85dB is my limit. Close to OSHA specs to prevent hearing loss.

Re: Landman on Paramount+ Just WOW
Just wrapped up season 2, and Landman is now officially the best TV show I’ve ever seen - better than The Sopranos, Lost, Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad… All of them.
Sheridan definitely has a gift for writing compelling characters and giving them intriguing arcs. I also enjoy the unfiltered look at the oil business.
The only thing I hate about Landman is the fact that I have to wait 9 months for season 3:-(

Re: Corner Repair Help
They arent marked series 2 but they have the SL-2500 tweeter and their crossover matches the m7s.rev2 crossover.

Re: What's your limit on Speakers?
Vintage (very vintage) field coil RCA drivers,RCA theater horn enclosures, and RCA multicell treble horns -- but I'd have to sell both kidneys, so that won't work.

That is the best sounding system I've experienced -- but it's the whole system, not just the loudspeakers; and the carefully designed and built space that they operate in is extremely important, too. Considering the whole shootin' match in toto, way, way, way out of my price range.
