Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
We lost another squirrel today, probably to the same Hawk.
It let my wife get 8' close to it while it ate. After about an hour or more of eating, the Hawk flew up 10' and sat there for many hours. After the Hawk flew up to a branch above where it ate, I worked in my yard about 20' away from it for hours. I detached 3/4 of my front yard. I mowed 3/4 of my front yard and also vacuumed up my neighbor's leaves beside our driveway AND where some were right under the Hawk, and it stayed right there, 10' off the ground above where it had just had a meal.
Remember...we had a Hawk sit just above us on the power line while we trimmed our Crape Myrtles back. That Hawk sat for about an hour too I think. It watched me sawzall 3 trees top branch heads.
It looks to be the same Hawk.
Sorry for the gruesome pics. Mother Nature is what she is.

Re: You’re doing it wrong…
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are like meth to some people. I've been in K-K recovery for 7 years now. Not a day goes by that I don't feel the call. "Come on, you can have just one..."

Speaking of donuts (or, for the erudite, such as my chum @msg above, doughnuts -- nuts of dough): the sine qua non, no kidding.

While I am waxing loquacious on the subject of donute: There's also a place somewhere in one of those Matt Damon/Ben Affleck towns north a' Bahsten (you know, Reveah, Sawguss, Danvahs, Lynn... one a' those) that makes amazing donuts. I am spacing on the name, but we used to take up a collection at work when I was at my last RFT job sometimes on Thursdays so that one of our colleagues could stop by the place and get a passel of them for us to consume on Friday morning.
As an aside: the donut thing is one of the few good memories of that particular company. The best thing I can say about them is that shortly after I retired, the company was bought out by an Asian pharma concern and many of my charming colleagues there -- who were, needless to say, utterly above any form of office politics-- ended up outta work.

While eating too many doughnuts is doing it wrong much sugar is doing it wrong, there is a place on the way to the Gulf Coast of America beaches that tempts me on every trip. It is Priester's Retail Store on I-65 South just out of Montgomery in Fort Deposit Alabama.

Pick up a few sweet treats to get you through the rest of the week!
The highlight of your stop at Priester's will be a visit to the sampling table. Taste many of Priester's most popular pecan candy and baked items. This provides an excellent way to pick your favorite candies before making your final purchases.

Definitely a favorite spot in the store! Come try some samples of our delicious candies today!

I have eaten too many free samples a few times and felt awful. I noticed the size of sampling area was more limited after Covid and wasn't open during Covid, but one has to be more determined.
Of course you can't resist feeling guilty and buying a bag full or box of stuff like Pecan Divinity, Pralines, Pecan Brittle, Chocolate Covered Pecans, Pecan Fudge to have at the beach.
