The photo was the underside of a switching panel that I built for my model train layout. I allows me to switch up to 20 turnouts and control the power to up to 20 different sections of the track. Here is a photo of the top and rear sections of the panel. The paint scheme is based upon the old Erie Lackawanna railroad colors.

Took this photo in San Francisco. Wanted to meet the bird in question, but my colleague reminded me we were about to be late to our conference.

One of my monoblocks wouldn't turn on... Sad but half way expected due to the age... Took an opportunity to take things apart and look for burnt things. I couldn't access it but I think the regenerator is the culprit

I was a train controller a thousand lifetimes ago. For the Soo Line. I just found my stuff from train dispatcher school in Minneapolis, which I kept for some reason. Very hard school, way more complex than I remember.
