Re: Rebuilding Polk Monitor 7C W/SL1000 To Accept Peerless Tweeter?
Hi,
A question...
Does Polk Audio, know you Guys are running your own "Dog and Pony Show" over here, and...
Running people off, and giving Polk Audio, a bad name???
Just wondering how this works?
Polk Audio is... well... between gigs at the moment.
We'll see what happens under Harman/Samsung.
One concern will be legacy product support, so, there's that.
It is safe to say that there's a substantial concentration of experts on the legacy (Matt Polk-era) hardware still on this forum, so, there's that, too.
We're actually pretty friendly, care deeply about a broad range of Polk-branded products (right up to the present, if there is a present for the brand), and rarely bite or scratch, but we do have our limits.

You have to understand that component technology wasn't as advanced back then. Also, any of the higher quality components that were available were not available in the quantity required for large scale production. Lastly, the bean counters always win.
So, while the bone stock speakers sounded good, properly modded ones sound great.

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
Well... January 1, 1900 wasn't the beginning of a new century.
Jan. 1, 1901 was, though.
Nope. If the time stamp starts on Jan 1 0000, one hundred years passes on Jan 1 0100 NOT 0101.
There is no year 0000 for there to be a Jan 1 in

I know I'm (getting) old when I read yet another thread about another piece of my early years has just died
...and all too often I'm older than they were.

The filter should go before the streamer.
Unless you have the pro, the muon standard only thru puts 100mbps

Interesting story, haven't fact checked though...

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
Chased by a BULL!
My cousins said to try to cross his pen. It's easy, they said. He's slow, they said. I was probably 10 to 12 years old.
I was fit, so I tried to run across the med.-sized pen.
BIG MISTAKE!

I barely made it to the other side!
If I had stumbled and fallen, that huge bull could've killed me with one stomp easily.
