Re: You know you’re getting old when…
So who here is getting invited to free dinners where they discuss
funerals and cremations? Add to it the adult living communities.
I think I'd rather eat burger king than listen to any of this depressing
garbage.

Re: Polk has new owners
The manufacturing model of Sandy gross, which imo, is very successful given his success in the industry and it's common sense nature is why drivers are still made for the old models.
Polk made decades of products using the same suite of drivers in different configurations. This is rarely done in this world of complete redesigns every 5 years or so.
The only brands I have seen do this on that scale is definitive and golden ear.

Re: Polk has new owners
I hope this is a positive for Polk, but to be honest, it will take a lot for them to get me to purchase anything new from them. All of their TOTL speakers should have some support for a couple years after they kill the line, especially tweeters. LSiM, Reserve, Legend. People invest a lot of money in these lines, and more than likely, they will keep them for some time, give them a little life line.
Not asking for them to do what they have for the older SDA line, IMO I’m surprised we can still get tweeters.
If I ever find a nice set of L200’s for a good price, I would probably jump on them.

Re: Polk has new owners
The problem with the legend series is Polk played it to safe with the enclosures.
I agree they are good looking and well built speakers but I think it was just a little to safe.
Especially when you compare the lsi and Lsim enclosures which are... Imo a timeless look and an industry standard build quality at the price point

Re: Polk has new owners
I think the reserve series has performed admirably
The Legends have performed well too, but Masimo knew nothing about how to run an audio company.
