Re: Snub Way road test
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m a little confused by the “anticlimactic end” comments. Seems like the road test (👍for the creative description) generated fairly significant sales for the vendor he wouldn’t have otherwise had, based on the size of the participants/community. Are those comments related to the interest in the demo unit? Just trying to understand the disappointment.
Everything you said is the reason I said “anticlimactic end.” Great demo opportunity, great, fairly consistent reviews about the products performance…the most overall positive I’ve ever seen from a demo…and then all of sudden it was crickets. For what was an otherwise informative and interesting thread about a great, inexpensive demo product, it just seemed to end abruptly.

If you have an ACE hardware nearby they have a much better selection then Lowes or Home Depot.

Re: Polk magnifi max AX SR
@lukman765, I have no control over what happens to items as they pass through Indian customs. Nor do any of the people who I can contact who work at Polk. Sometimes things remain in customs for several weeks as they move through the system. I can give you no updates on the status of your soundbar, I'm sorry.
If it were me, I would remain patient and understand that it will eventually reach me.

Re: You’re doing it wrong…
I'm not an electrician but bonding the ground to the neutral at the device may cause the circuit breakers to not operate properly.
Residential the neutral and ground are bonded at the panel for a low impedence path in the event of a short
You can connect them in the panel, not at the outlet/appliance.
It can cause ground loops, or energize the ground/neutral wire.
Best case, it can cause equipment damage. Worse case, a fire.

Re: Bi-WIring Polk L800s for SDA
Should I use the Marantz PM-KI Ruby and the A21+ for bi-wiring?
You are asking about bi-amping, not bi-wiring. Regardless, the answer is no.
BTW, the Ruby (excellent) is an integrated amp while the A21+ is a power amp only. Sell the A21+.

Re: My deal of the century!
You could add a large diameter fender washer between the top of the foot and the amp to create an air gap between the foot and the heat sink.
