Only the original Adcom 555 was a Nelson Pass design IIRC. The 2 and later versions used a Darlington configuration, which strayed away from Nelson's design.

My guess is that they had a bad childhood. They have simple games to where you take basic shapes, like squares, circles, triangles and the like and you have to fit them in the correct holes. Dude probably never played this pre-K game.
Either that, or he is just plain dumb....which in today's world? Wouldn't shock me in the slightest.

To me, a name for a brand doesn't mean much.
They are owned by a Taiwan based company now... As to performance is hard to know without hearing them

Those look like the ones I bought new in 86 or 87. They had a large "A" sticker after the "SDA2 on the back of only one speaker the other speaker just said SDA2.
That's odd, I have never seen an sda2a with that cabinet style.
