Re: Gas Prices
I always find it humorous when people say things like “…gas prices don’t affect me because I drive an EV”, or “…gas prices don’t affect me because I don’t drive much”.
While statements like that may be true, I would ask - do you eat? Do you heat/cool your home? Do you use electricity? Do you order things on line? Do you use electronics? Buy records/CDs?
Gas/diesel prices are tied directly to the price of oil (insane state/local taxes aside). And crude oil is used in virtually EVERYTHING. From pesticides and herbicides to all “man made” fabrics, plastics, rubber, to virtually all electricity generation, to ALL shipping (by truck, plane of ship)… Crude oil is EVERYWHERE. So wether you want to admit it or not, “gas prices” affect virtually every aspect of your material life.

Re: Gas Prices
Fuel prices are cheap compared to the other essentials like housing and food. I drive about 15k miles a year making my fuel bill about $1,700 per
year @ current prices. Heck my cable bill is nearly 3k a year. Working on getting rid of this sheet.

It's like those user manuals that were poorly translated to English from Chinese.

Re: Gas Prices
I would move. We pay less than $1300.00 every year. I couldn't fathom paying that much per month.

If one chances to meet a woman who can pick up one of those rather substantial pastries with her tongue... well... one might wish to strike up a conversation with her...

Re: Tonearm Cables
Just to pick-a-nit, I would call those "phono cables". Tonearm cables (or wires) are the very small gauge wires inside the tonearm. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming

Re: Gas Prices
Ohio does have unusually high property taxes around the major cities compared to most States because of the way schools are built and operated. Also because houses have higher valuations because of housing shortages and overall inflation. My parents used to live in Hilliard 20-30 years ago and were shocked back then at the real estate taxes increasing after the school district had to build multiple entirely new schools to accommodate the population growth. The area used to be farm fields not that long ago.
