Convection works good if they have nothing holding the heat in or impeding its escape.
Ivan, do you use hockey pucks from a specific NHL team or just plain ones?
To be honest, they're from our last 3 failed semi pro, little league, bankrupt D pro local teams my employer sponsored. At one time I had a 5 gallon bucket full. They come in handy for a multitude of tasks.

Re: Nice Marantz UD 7007 SACD/BLU RAY player w remote
I also picked up the same Marantz on this forum a while back. Comparing it with my Oppo 93 I realized what people meant by Oppo having a "sterile"sound. That's the thng about this hobby...many times you don't know what you don't know.
Does modwright still do the tube output upgrade on the oppo players?

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
fixed it.
I actually had one of them, legally, in the 1980's. In IL you needed to be an FFL with a Class III.

You do not need fans for either of those components since they are out in the open.

Re: Should I keep my amp cool?
I can see where heat build up would be a concern if one had their amp in a closed cabinet or tight confines in some piece of furniture, but when the amp is out in the open...well, you just bought into fear mongering.

Re: NextGen TV?
Jesus ! we just want to watch TV ! I do not need "interactive" features or "targeted ads". Seriously that in a nut shell is what has ruined the internet and clogging up everything. Click on something and 700 things are trying to get in the door with it.
I agree. ATSC 1.0 is fine with me.
It's easy to fix on the internet though, it's called Ublock Origin. I haven't seen an ad on my PC in over a decade, maybe longer. Not even on YouTube.
