Re: New speakers - Ascend Sierra LX
Congrats!
You absolutely need some foam isolation pads under them when putting on top of a cabinet to decouple them.

Re: When huge piece of ice/frozen snow hits you at 65+ mph
Major trucking firms and interstate highways should have a system to remove stuff that could kill somebody. I feel very lucky to come out of this with not a scratch on me or the CRV.
Told the guy at Safelite what happened, he said I was the 2nd job they had that day with the same story to tell.

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
That's pretty funny, I like both (even at my age) but my mom, bless her 81 year old heart, was riding in my truck one day and I was playing Green Grass and High Tides by the Outlaws, once the dual lead guitars started doing their thing, my mom said, with a very annoyed voice, "Okay, that's enough of THAT!!"

Re: SDA sound taking some getting used to.
Agree with the above stuff along with this…
Anything in between the speakers will affect the center staging image.
And, anything in between the speakers that are more forward than the face of the speakers will have a greater effect on center stage imaging.
Best to have equipment, racks, tv or anything else in between your speakers behind the front face of your Polk’s.
Actually, best case scenario is to have nothing between the speakers.
But as we all know our room and setups are usually a compromise.
