Re: Power cable placement
IMO, The problem for most with putting the money down on really nice cables, is that money would probably be better spent elsewhere with a much better return in sonic sound..
I agree, and that was certainly true for my first 40 years in this hobby. However, I do think that that once you get to a certain level there is a point along the cost versus sonic benefit continuum where decent cables can provide your system with the same or even better sonic performance when compared to an audio component upgrade.

Re: Questions about recently acquired Polk Audio SDA SRS 2 speakers
While I think the 2.3tl is the true SDA sweet spot…….I think the SRS 2’s are special as well.

Re: Best Polk bi-amp bookshelf speakers?
The RT55i is a highly underrated speaker IMHO. I bought a pair for $75, they are my 3.1 TV/movie speakers and are fantastic.

I really want a ModWright Phono Pre, it's about 5k, am I going to spend that cash on better cables that more than likely will cost about close to that or more, depending on what you're doing, but even two nice PC's for your amps will cost a few dollars, especially over Pangea.
Or do I put that cash towards the ModWright? I am getting the ModWright, and Pangea will have to do for now..
Trust me, better "power cables" are always on my mind, I just find myself wanting something different on the gear side over cables..

Tip of the hat to ya', Polk - Or whomever is responsible for this. "Awesome"!
I just so happened to notice that the "Awesome" is back on CP. I just genuinely wanted to say, "Thank you" to whomever made that happen.

Re: Name that Polkie
This was a really memorable Polkfest. Ted's house was setup perfectly for a large gathering like this with the basement and everything... Great times!
Hopefully we can have another fest in the near future

All y'all may know this already, but the old pro trick for minimizing shake sans a tripod (or monopod, or other stabilizing aid): start to exhale slowly and evenly, then press the shutter while exhaling.
Most of us learned that in our pre-teen years with a pellet gun or other such handheld projectile machinery.
