Re: What Are You Listening To? (Part Deux)
Thanks. I really liked what I heard the other day from streaming, and right after I made that last post? I found one brand new, still sealed on Amazon, so I pounced on it quickly (vinyl). Since I don't have SDA's, I don't follow that thread. Maybe I should start doing so. I appreciate your input....sounds like I won't be disappointed.

Re: SACD over HDMI cable performance
Personally speaking, most of my SACD's are OOP as well as a vast majority of my CD's. The last place I'd be putting them is in my car CD player. That is why all my CD's are burnt to a CDr for my vehicle.

Re: EV Hate Thread
There was a lot of valuable information on that thread, and some members took some time to post some damned fine posts. Now, all that information is lost for good.
How about the moderator's ban the usual suspects, instead of deleting a thread that has been around for many years and contained some great and very informative posts?

Re: EV Hate Thread
That was the third thread I started to go "POOF". The world is full of thin skinned, whining SOB's hell bent on censoring freedom of speech. Sad.

Hmm -- maybe a Union Jack wrap for a Cybertruck, and a star turn in the next Austin Powers movie?
I am sure there'll be another one, even if they have to use an AI Mike Myers. Heck, maybe they can tie it in to the Marvel Comix multiverse?!
EDIT: PS The license plate (EVHAULN) is kind of clever, I must say.

Re: Polk RTI A9 Home Theatre setup - Power Amp Crown XLS 2002 vs Emotiva xpa-2
Yep sorry I did some research after emotiva didn't have an amp I wanted to buy. So I passed that along for someone else, but I guess if you don't push parasound here, your not cool and work for the man. Oh and options 3 was to run a separate amp for the 9s and a the center using the receiver for the a3 rated at 150. He is only running a5.1. So if the specs I read on his received in a brief skim were for 4ohm, and 125 is more accurate, he is only running 2 a3. So way good advice. Sorry I was just trying to help. I guess I will have to go by a parasound before I am cool enough to post.

Re: RTI A1 VS RTI A3 sound level
You are hearing the difference in the crossover points from midwoofer to tweeter in the two speakers. The speakers in the RTiA line that use 5.25 inch drivers utilize a lower crossover point than the ones that use the 6.5 inch drivers. The iA1 is 12db/oct at 1900Hz, where as the iA3 is 12db/oct at 2800. You will notice similar differences in the towers, the iA7 (6.5) at 2700Hz, and the iA9 (5.25) at 1800Hz.
Cheers,
Russ
