It is crazy that even Hawaii, where everything must be barged in, has lower gas prices than California - and Hawaii has better roads;-)

So true. It would be one thing if the roads were in excellent shape, thus showing the return on investment for the high fuel taxes, however that was not the case in my experience there. One could ask where the substantial sum raised from the fuel taxes goes, but I doubt you’d ever get a response even remotely associated with the truth…
