    I understood GV. If it is the sub or if it is the room, there is not much i can do about it. I cant move the sub from its location, and i cant change the dynamics of the room. Modification to the enclosure is my only choice.

    But its really not as bad as I am making it out to be. The sub does perform very well in its sealed inhabitat.

    You can try undertuning, something like 15-16 Hz. You can also try partially stuffing the ports to see if that helps the peak at all.

    I am cutting the box down to ~5.5ft^3, leaving it sealed, stuffing it heavily and buying the BDF Eq.

    I think that will solve almost every problem

    Like you I have WAF to consider so I'm limited to corner placement for my subs.Likewise I have found that sealed designs perform better in this location with tighter more detailed bass than ported designs.With the inevitable boost at low frequencies due too room gain corner loading a ported design "may" get you too much of a good thing.


    Yeah with your BFD you should l be able to get excellent in room response,it is a great tool.

    The Tempest is plenty big enough....(for now)...as soon as the BDF comes in , I can smoth'n the FR responce and see how things "play" out. I think with using the BDF, I can also cut down the ft^3 of the enlcosure. Being it is sealed. More power would be needed, but right now my amp is only being used at 25%, So the headroom is there.
