For those that have this combination, I know that the speakers should be set to "LARGE", but what should the Subwoofer setting be placed at?

Also what is a good crossover frequency between the fronts and the subwoofer with this combination?

Thanks

Yes, I'd set them to large. Setting the sub's xover will depend on how capable it is and how it sounds to you. I have my setup, large, LFE & mains, xover @ 60 and it seems to give me the flattest response.

Experiment...perhaps you'll get a better response setting the sub to LFE only or with a higher crossover. What you want to avoid is cancellation in the bottom frequencies between the sub and mains. The only way you can tell is by running tones or sweeps and graphing it out (along with what sounds best to you).

Good luck with the new amp. I really enjoyed my time with Fred's Adcom.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

Good point Ron. Play with speaker placement a bit. Even a few inches when corner loaded can make a big difference.

yea i will. my receiver has an issue that harman support is already aware of. Just wanted to see if the amp bypassed that issue, which was a volume fading in and out, which the amp does.

Ben, your in FT. Lauderdale? Im in Miramar. Hi neighbor!

Hey neighbor. We should hook up before I move! Do a little cable swapping. I am in Oakland Park for the moment:eek:
