Selling the last of my Rotel gear, posting here before it goes to Audiogon. Both pieces in perfect functional condition, excellent cosmetic condition:

**SOLD**Rotel RC-1090 stereo preamp (black). $550 plus whatever shipping is to lower 48 States.
Balanced inputs and outputs, moving magnet and moving coil phono stage, full function programmable remote control. Bought new from a local snob shop about 2.5 years ago. Have the original box and manual and would double box to ship.

**SOLD**Rotel RB-1090 stereo amplifier (silver front piece). $1050 local sale only.
380 watts per channel dual mono design (common ground though) into 8 ohm loads, supposed to be stable driving 2 ohm speaker loads at about 1000 watts per channel, but runs physically cool, dual WBT style binding posts per channel for biwiring or could even be used to drive two pairs of speakers directly. Bought new from Myer-Emco about a year ago. This is a monster, weighs about 100 lbs packed, has wheels built into the rear to slide into a rack. I have the original boxes and packing material but don't trust UPS shipping this because the packing materials aren't bullet proof for shipment considering the amp's weight, so it's for local sale in the Washington, DC, area only.

Post here if you want to buy.

Partly. The Anthem amp is a hybrid, only the input stage is tubed. The rest of the amp is conventional solid state. The Rotel is more dynamic, but the Anthem is smoother and livelier in the mid-range. I do have a Sonic Frontiers amp as well, and that is definitely over-tubed (16 of them).

You have enough stuff already. You're not allowed to buy anything else. :D

That is a very good price on the Rotel amp. If you were local to me I would probably be knocking on your door. That would finish off my purchases for a while.

If he shipped it and it was 2 weeks ago, I wouldve bought it too.

The RB-1090 is still for sale, and now available for shipping since I can get a good box to triple box the amp with. For well-known Club Polk members, price is $1050 firm plus shipping of about $80-$100 depending on where you live.

The amp is also on Audiogon now for those who are interested in photos. Condition is really 9/10.

PM sent back. This is a great amp for SRS speakers. Lots of oomph for sure, but still very refined sounding. Also common ground, so even the older blade/blade SRS speakers are compatible.

Wouldn't matter in his case, as he has the non-common ground IC. ;)

LOL I guess. The Carver TFM-35X was actually plenty. I had a pair of Carver TFM-35's in bridged mono and they were mighty fine. One was mine, the other borrowed. Mine is in New Jersey now and the borrowed one is also sold, gets shipped next Tuesday. (My good friend Taz was nice enough to leave me with an amp over the holiday weekend).

I had a deal going for a Carver TFM-45 but that was contingent on the seller getting a TFM-55 off of Ebay. He hung onto the 45 until he got the 55 but it arrived not as described, so..... I always wanted to try a Rotel anyway.

I anxiously await it's arrival. I have a friend in Seattle that loves his Rotel's. He is like Noel, a speaker broker. :D He was working his way to some SDA's but some Carver Amazing's just popped up there on Seattle's craigslist.....

I am expecting a McAlister tube amp and tube pre amp later this month. I'll get a good listen on and keep what I like the best and sell the rest.

    Thanks Mark!

Thanks. Been hard the past two years. The wife had a bout with breast cancer and came through OK. I immersed myself in a big project at the house that I recently completed it so I'm going to indulge myself.

I'm anxious to hear the McAlister tube gear. A friend of my good friend loves his, says the gear is way underpriced for what you get. I like talking with the old timer in Canada too, that is until I got last months phone bill.

Rotel gear is beautiful and sounds as good as it looks.

Nice sale here I wish I saw it sooner. Killer amp man killer. The reserve power of that amp is unmatched at 2 g's in my opnion.
