I completed Round 1 of a 4 week once a week treatment. I completed Round 2 first session Yesterday. Which is in hospital treatment #5 out of 16. I have to go for 16 weeks 4 rounds they call it and it sucks. I thought 4 rounds was 4 weeks, it's 4 months.

All my blood markers have inproved in the Cancer Protein realm. The treatment is working and I'm doing great on it, just not feeling great as it really beats the hell out of you .

I'm hanging as strong as I can. I'm only stage 1 and my treating is accordingly. I was in the room with a stage 4 guy and his treatment is way harsher than mine is. I felt so bad for me, he is a mess. He was also scared and very down. I had a decent conversation with him trying to encourage him that we will get through this and see the sun again.

Way to go Dan. Those markers are certainly something to celebrate. Take it where you can get it. Might be small but it's a win. Keep it up.

I believe that is great news and a positive sign for you that you are trying to encourage your fellow room mate. Keep thinking that way!

They have treatment rooms with 1 2 or 4 chairs in them . We all talk to each other as none of us actually want to be there. So it's comforting for all of us to share stories , learn from each other and try to make it though a horrible situation.

I life my life casual, laid back and I like everyone. I'm not into politics , complaining about the world, etc. I prefer to try to find the joys of life and share with anyone who wants to share. It's why I have been in here for decades, I have made friends in here, hung out with some of you and just enjoy our hobby the best I know how.

I have a few hobbies , cars , guitars and this and I put a good amount of effort into them. Sorry to say car life is by far my favorite and this and guitars are about equal to each other, Music over movies but movies are very important.

My life has taken some bad turns since 2021 and I try my best to keep positive even though I feel like life put me in the ring with Mike Tyson who keeps knocking me down. I just have to find the strength every single damn day to get back up and face him.

of course it's hard. It's not just a typical day or walk in the park. Try staying focused on the fact you're able to get treatment many aren't so lucky. Cliché but one day a time.

Sucks as cancer is a **** and not being able to get treatment is full on traumatizing . It's hard enough to focus on what I'm going through let alone not getting treatment. It's incredibly expensive .

As far as one day at a time, it's the mind set I had to adapt as this could easily drive any crazy.

Hey Mantis,We don't know each other well, but I wanted to reach out because my heart truly goes out to you. When life hits this hard, it's completely natural for everything to feel like it's accelerating out of control. Dealing with the physical, mental, and financial toll of cancer is an overwhelming challenge. No one likes being forced to confront this side of life, but please know that even those of us who don't know you well are pulling for you. Wishing you strength Mate.

Keep fighting! You are encouraging others by the strength you are showing. Your physical strength may be weakened by Covid/Cancer but you are showing true inner strength by sharing your struggles. Praying for you daily brother. Stay strong!

It's extremely challenging but I have family and friends who care about me and rely on me so I have to be strong for them as well. I'm not going to allow this to beat me without a fight.

Hard part about this is not getting in the truck and driving away.

I’ve spit in deaths eye twice and will continue to do so until the time comes that I run out of spit. Just do what you have to do and once it’s over don’t let this define the rest of your hopefully healthy life.

Glad you came out the other side man. It's a ruff road. Treatment was today and I'm pretty beat up. I try to do things but I run out of gas.

Next week will be the 1/2 way mark. It's so hard each week to do all of this. Such a change in my life to have to constantly go to doctors appointments e very single week. It's exhausting.

The medical community LOVES cancer. It's a huge money maker for them. The American way of life is what's killing us all internally. First it was cigarettes are cool! Then it's OH SHIP! Cigarettes cause cancer! Then it was butter is bad for you, replace it with margarine. Then, OH Crap! Not again! Well butter wasn't so bad after all. Then it was plastics and teflon coated cookware is the greatest invention since the wheel. Then Damn it again! The medical community is funded and trained by the pharmaceutical industry which has only one agenda. Profit Margins Baby! The air we breathe is polluted. The water we drink is polluted. The furniture we use gives off VOC's. Our food is all canned, processed, preserved, pasteurized, polluted crap! Our governments are run by crooked self-centered money grubbing, narcissistic A$$E$!!!(both parties). Except our Secretary of Health and Human Services (he's just a decent man with holes in his brain) :D .

Anyway I recommend something to cheer you up like fishing, hiking, basket weaving, playing ball with your kids etc.

    Stay positive.
