    Man Tries to Punch Dog Walker at San Francisco Beach. He Picked a Former Marine and Martial Arts Instructor
    A man walking his dog at San Francisco's Crissy Field said a stranger approached him Tuesday afternoon and tried to punch him, turning an ordinary trip to the beach into a confrontation on the sand. A KRON4 crew happened to be at the beach on another assignment and recorded part of what followed.
    James Hidalgo said he got the other man to the ground and held him there while witnesses called 911. United States Park Police eventually arrived, handcuffed both men while sorting out what had happened, and Hidalgo was released after paramedics checked him. The other man remained handcuffed and was taken away by police.

    We got plenty of crazies around the Chicago area! They can be a 1/4 mile behind you, see that lane closure sign and race to cut you off.

    This was recent from my front dash cam, late July...(I have rear camera too). I could see in distance movement of road ragers swapping lanes. One went around center turn lane into opposite travel lane to get around folks in the way. I got folks close on my behind so chose not to panic stop. I thought some drama notes from Zeppelins Kashmir was appropriate.

    I'm so glad my days of working on highways are behind me. Most of the time all we had for protection was a cone; if we were lucky barrels and the best was behind jersey barriers. But I've seen John Q somehow manage to climb a Jersey barrier, hit an aluminum light pole, bring it down across 3 lanes of heavy traffic on rte 95 south in New Haven, come down off the barrier and still keep going. Now that series of events took skill as those barriers are designed to not let a vehicle climb them.

    2) We can probably expect to see some record times for these events.

    My daughter is a rower. I'll have to ask her if she thinks she will be ready for the 2032 games...

    It's okay though, I'll just have her watch a bunch of Steve Irwin's reruns before the event. It's all about being prepared.
