Got one double coated, dry, and test fitted. I may hunt down a rattle can with more antique hue for the PR covers...

Thanks Tre.Wife thinks so. She has better eye than I do. I'm glad I didn't drill the extra four spots on MW perimeters. Would throw off the retro look. They're growing on me.

I didn't make a billet baffle and didn't truck bedliner the cabs. There must be hope lol.
Still need to spin the terminals at a finer grit and find some 5/16" ring elec. terminals. My next shop visit will start the shorter XS Dreadnaught. Can't run the torroid out in the open, wire-nutted lmao.

This factory stands quite tall, but its smokestack stands quite a bit taller.

I don't recall what the stock height is, but make them 2-3 inches taller..

The stock stands are in the 24" to 25" range...way too short! You want the tweeter at ear height (38" to 40") when seated.

I'm assuming those pucks at the top of the stand are half of the neodymium magnetic levitation devices for vibration isolation 👍

Magnets? Just build a support bar at the top like the original stands. Use rubber pads between it and the cabinet.

No magnets. Those 2 spuds would go thru the bottom and compress the sand-filled tubes to their bases using long all-thread.
Will probably be a winter project.

Probably why the 2B's sound great whether sitting or standing.
I Think 30" stands would be the sweet spot. That'll be the goal.
