This was definitely news to me. At first, I thought I was being pranked. Not much info out there at the moment, other than he went to the hospital this morning for a severe illness and the family announced that he would not be racing in any event this weekend.

Dang, way too young. RIP brother.

    He asked over the radio weekend before last for a doctor to meet him at his bus after the race. I’m thinkin’ he had something going on then. Sad. Just won a truck race less than a week ago.

    I saw something else that said he had double pneumonia. Who knows, maybe he had both?! Guess we’ll find out eventually.

    Also read where he on May 10 while racing at aWatkins Glenn, he requested the Hendrix motor team doctor to give him a shot for his sinus infection.
