You had better sharpen them all first! The last thing you need is an infected cut from a dull knife, A sharp cut heals faster especially at your age......

Is there any way to open up the LPS and adjust the volts/amp output?

Also I'm not familiar the connectors that attach the cables to the LPS, is there a- that connector plus USB-C option?

I know you can order these in different voltages but I wouldnt be able to provide info on adjusting the voltage unfortunately. I am not aware of a USB C cable that will work for these either

    Sorry :(

Linear Power Supplies are not designed to change voltages easily. The transformer has windings to give a certain voltage output from the given input, and the regulators are also designed to give a fixed voltage output.

    Sir
Are you a proponent of separate DACs and dedicated streamers, or going the route of say an Eversolo DMP A8 or a HiFi Rose all in one solution?

I definitely don't put my eggs in one basket.

Dacs are timeless. Streamers will be paper weights in 5 years... Minimize cost there and focus more on dac performance.

90% of the streamer performance is the power supply. I run a mini dsp sdh studio with a nice power supply and it sounds every bit as good as the 7k lumin u1 x it replaced.

Trey, I think for a certain period of time in the last 15 years, it was the DACs that became paper weights in 5 years due to massive improvements year over year. I'm still using a DIY streamer that does everything I need it to and its based on a thin client PC that came out in 2018.
I will agree that it is better to have a separate DAC and streamer.

I will always have separates in that department. You can change out one or the other if you want to change up the sound or introduce tubes, etc..

An all in one is just that. You are limited in what it sounds like, with little changes.

With separates, it opens up your options vastly. Yes, more cabling, which means more expense and real estate, but you aren't as limited if you want to change something else in the system that has a negative effect with your all in one unit. Having options is worth it to me.

Dacs are extremely versatile components, I find the older ones are fantastic if you look in the right spots
