What's your limit on Speakers?

It's hard to say, right now my mountain bike costs more than my speakers (even if purchased new). With teens taking over the basement I rarely get time to listen to anything or even watch something down there. I suppose when they get older I'll look into upgrading but I don't see a point upgrading something I don't use. So my extra cash goes towards bike parts not just for me but the family bikes.
I have a few hobby's myself that all cost a lot of money. Mountain biking I haven't been strongly into in a while but that could change, My Mountain bike is from 2004 and I would really like to get a new one. I like Specialized , Cannondale , GT and Trek. Santa Cruz bikes are nice, I kinda like all of them. Specialized seems very comfortable with the designs of their frames. I currently have a GT.Dan

Right now I am planning my next pair of speakers to be a pair of L600s ( which seem difficult to find) or a pair of SDA 2Bs or 3Cs. After a crossover upgrade on these would be my price limit. As far as non Polk speakers go, I would say Focal Aria Evo used or Usher Dancer mini 1 used of course.

I have a closet full of stuff I should look at unloading, might even help get those Volterra’s
You have loudspeakers that'll fit in a closet?!?

I just moved a pair of L600s, in the boxes, to my house from my dad’s estate. Along with a bunch of other gear. Looking forward to getting it setup and being able to spend some quality time listening. This will be my secondary system located in my office.2 Channel Rosso Fiorentino Volterra II, 2 REL Carbon Limited, Norma Revo IPA-140B, Norma Revo DAC-2, Lumin U2 Mini, VPI Prime w/SoundSmith Zephyr MIMC, Modwright PH 150, Denon DP-59l w/Denon DL-301MKII, WAY Silver 3 Ana+ Speaker Cables, WAY Interconnect Cables, AudioQuest Niagara 7000 w/Dragon, WAY power cables for all other sources. -
A fair limit is when you can no longer hug your speakers.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Shoot, you think audio is expensive, bikes and parts are nasty crazy. Bike tires almost the price if a car tire as an example -

The guy that started GT bicycles was actually a professional drag racer named Gary Turner, his son Craig raced BMX and that's how the brand started. He used 4130 chromoly to build a BMX frame. -

I use to work for a bike store back in 1982. I assembled bikes , made wheel repairs and sold them off the floor. I also was way into BMX back then and Gary Turner was a big deal back then. We also had a local track and a concrete curl for trick and the track was dirt racing. I had several GT bikes back then. Pro Performer, Mach 1 , I had the very first Pink Mach 1 when they hit the market. I had a Freestyle all GT bikes.Dan

GT bikes isn't completely out of business, but to call it a shell of what it once was is an understatement.
It's sad. I used to drool over the Zaskar in the 90's...
Thankfully, you're spoiled for choice these days; Specialized, Transition, Trek, Santa Cruz, Ibis, Revel, Raaw...
My Transition Smuggler is just a silly good bike, mind-blowingly good if you're coming from a 2004'ish bike. -

It's a hard pill to swallow when you spend $600+ on brakes for a MTB and really see what you're getting...
