Starlings. Yay.
We're getting a passel of pigeons in ours* these days. They do seem to enjoy themselves, but they leave a pretty gross, greasy residue behind.

99% done. Need to paint the wood on the floor at the door.

Check these new fold-up storm door handles Anderson has.
I guess it was so that one could pull the glass panel out with no obstruction.

@Tony M Handle folding up isn't new. I installed one of those Emco/Anderson storms just like yours about 15 years ago. Mine wasn't flat and didn't make a seal on the latch side of the door, with the door jamb. It was a nightmare getting them to replace it under warranty. They must've had a manufacturing issue and they knew it but they fought me tooth and nail. Insisted that I send them only ONE photo that proves the door wasn't flat. They rejected every photo I sent. Finally I built a flat jig to set the door upon and sent them a video proving it was flat and that when I set the door on it, it would rock on the jig by 3/8 in. at one corner. They said they didn't have authority to open the video. I said get a manager to open the video or else it goes public on youtube. They then gave me a new door. Bad company.George / NJ

Good job. Forgot the brand, but we have a glass door handle that can be installed with pull-up or press-down action. The builders chose pull -up for some reason or maybe didn't know about the feature.
Another busy day today. Gotta get my point count up....

I thought ANDERSON was a customer-oriented company. I guess that was 45 years ago.
I haven't hung a storm door in ages, so I'm really behind on what has evolved.
I have a 20+ year-old Anderson storm door on the back of my house. This new one is a lot better quality for sure.
I'm glad you FINALLY were granted a new door. But WOW, what a lot of aggravation you had to go through!

They were but, now that it's a major corp., all they do is talk about it.
Had one house that came with Pella windows, wow... really liked those.
No experience with Andersen and no idea if they're comparable to (Pella). -
I replaced all my 74-year-old windows about 10 years ago with Pella's. That project went very well.

I was shocked at how easy it was to do myself.
They were cheap $$$ back then, too. I'm thinking 110.00 or 130 each.
Now they're 552.00,
But windows, doors, and storm doors have gone up.

I have 2 panes that lost their vacuum, and a couple of window springs broke.
I think they're guaranteed for life. I'm going to check with the window person at Lowe's about these issues VERY SOON. I keep forgetting about inquiring every time I've gone in the past year or three.
Since I have the link in another window, I'll check out the warranty now.
It's 20 years. Hopefully, I get new panes and a couple of spring lifters.

OK...
My next project will be the front porch decking boards replacement. Hopefully, an easy job.
These boards have been there for 30 years or so. My wife had asked about doing this a year ago. I told her there's still life in them. But after seeing them in THIS picture, why not replace them? 250.00 project isn't too bad for what it will look like afterwards.
