Taken at the end of my driveway facing north. Pink is all we were served.

That super-high bridge in China that was just opened months ago partially collapsed because of mudslides. :o:s

^^The view from Harry Bosch's house in Los Angeles in the TV series "Bosch." There is probably an Art Pepper LP playing on the Marantz turntable.

I have a pair of those Ohm Walsh loudspeakers... nothing else that's visible in that photo, though. ;)

I never had that many, but the ones I did were all sold/gone by ~2006. I was eager to have the extra desk space from the void of a CRT as soon as LCDs became affordable. These days, you will have to pay to get rid of each one.

Agreed; I don't see any watch out for anvils falling off cliffs characters.

Oh... when I was a postdoc, we brought in another postdoc in the lab who was just like that.
Actually, his shtick was more to ask for advice, then to argue with the advice he got.
He was also obsessed with being successful. Career-wise, he did OK, but he simply wasn't the hotshot that he thought he was. :# As my father would have said: He had a lot to be humble about. ;)

That reminded me of the time I worked on a film with Rip Torn and I heard him say: "Some people are educated beyond their intelligence." :p
