That N77ES would probably be starting a 3-alarm fire after 30 Minutes of playing with no ventilation. Those old Sonys ran HOT but sounded great. I had a few. Still wish I had my TA-F333ES. What a hot, beauty that was. -

I love how it sounds! Super high quality! Drew has one too. He loves his tuner too. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I agree, I have the little brother to that X55ES CD player (X33ES). In fact I have a post of all the caps on the board I changed out. Sony however used some of the most corrosive caps know to man in them, Elna DUOREX II. They used a fish oil electrolyte in them that ATE copper like the most corrosive acid. You had to remove the green enamel at least 2" on each side and clean with denatured alcohol or it would keep eating the copper. Nasty, Nasty stuff!
I'm a big fanboi of the Sony ES gear but the CD players were very nice! -

Latest addition to my poster collection “The Cream” from 1968. Recordings from these shows were used on the albums Wheels Of Fire and Live Cream. One show @ The Fillmore and 3 shows at Winterland. All shows presented by Bill Graham, of course.

Weird. "You're Doing It Wrong..." and others work per normal. I think it might be the iOS 26 update and running it on my older iPhone 11 since I've had a few other strange things happen lately. MacBook seems to still work fine.
