I'll probably be blamed for our community power outage... It's funny if I'm outside working, heat and humidity don't really affect me. Granted, I'll likely drink a gallon of Liquid IV infused water every hour, but inside after a refreshing shower, I'm not going to sweat if I can help it. Thermostat is currently set at 69. I'm loving it!

I "have" a Soviet army belt buckle given to me by someone I knew in college who went to Russia on a trip with her parents back before it was a common thing to do. I... umm... don't know where it is any more.

I feel like this belongs here:

Last day of school for my kids was yesterday. My younger daughter and my niece had a sleepover at my home to kick off summer.

They decided that they wanted to build a “tent” in the living room out of sheets.

They grabbed the sheets and also grabbed my clamps to hold the sheets.

Well, my niece clamped one of the sheets to…

    MY DAMN TV!

    9fdbmuqbz37i.jpeg

So, now a 65” Sony OLED is now on the way to my home to replace the destroyed TV.

Normally, a stunt like that wouldn’t be completely outside the realm of possible for me.

However, the ink had barely dried on the agreement for my to buy a new SUV that same afternoon, I was already in zero mood to spend more money.

My youngest brother is a commercial plumber, so he stopped by the house with his truck to collect the old TV.

He is going to bring it to the recycling center for me.

He couldn’t stop chuckling, hauling it out of the house with me.

Far clarity, it wasn’t his kid that did it.

It was our other brothers kid. That brother has always been a notorious screw up. Lovable, but a screw up.

It seems like the apple might not have fallen far from that tree. :D

In all actuality? I am sorry this happened to you. Family is one life's pleasures (especially in the case of mine), but they can also be a curse. It is what it is.

Honestly, at this point it’s just something to laugh over.

There was blind rage for about 5 seconds, then just a wave of defeat and acceptance that I need to start shopping for a new TV :D

I’m thankful that I can absorb it and just replace it. Too many out there that just would’ve been completely screwed, and now they just don’t have a TV.
