Who the hell can sleep at 82 unless you grew up in a tropical rain forest or something? I'll do 78 when I'm gone, but 76 is about the highest I can stand to be in the house and sleeping...that better be below 74, with a ceiling fan on full blast.

All's I can say is that it is 96 outside, reminiscent of a Charm City July afternoon -- and it's comfy in here.
And that same sun that's making it kinda sultry outside is generating the juice to make it pretty darned nice inside.

My prior house had no AC. There were many days my fish room Discus tanks were well above 105°.
There were weeks in the summer that indoor temps never fell below 77° at night. It's funny how your body acclimates to that and when it falls to 70° you're cold.

Ahh, Baltimore. When did it get the name "Charm City" and why? Went to Camden Yards a couple of times since I arrived in this fair land about 35 years ago, and thought it was one of the best ball parks I have ever been to. Better that getting ear damage from the pressure changes due to the wind in Three Rivers stadium in Pittsburgh at any rate.

My most lasting memory, however, is when I spent about a six month period commuting on Amtrak from my home west of Philly to DC and the train invariably got stuck in the tunnel in Baltimore, cell service ceased and all the horrible little Arthur Anderson consultants started screaming "Hello, can you hear me?".
