    Thanks Ivan for answering!

I just looked in the SDA Handbook. The ad I posted are 1A's, I thought they were in the first gen.

The 1A's are actually in the second gen. with the only other 2nd gen. speaker being the first SDA SRS.

The first gen. was only the SDA 1 (no A) and the SDA 2. The first gen. used SL-1000 tweeters and the second gen. used the SL-2000's.

That handbook is a great reference.

SDA 1 had two ports next to the top two drivers.

  • I never noticed! I guess they're tuned so that the PR is still effective?

The push test doesn't apply to these SDAs?

Top two mid-woofers were in separate interior enclosure. Bottom two bass drivers and passive radiator were in the bottom enclosure.

He can’t/won’t confirm if these are original SDA SRS’s he is using the dreadnought on, he won’t share pics of the crossovers, and he was telling a guy you need to upgrade the crossovers to use the RDO tweeters, and that’s why he hasn’t done them. I called him out on all this, and he got all pissed off, and told me to F-OFF.

    The dude is garbage..

Screw him. I think I can safely say he just pissed off everyone here. Good luck with any support from this site.
  • Well original Blade/blade SRS-SDA the dreadnought will not work on as BOTH blades carry signal.
RD-0194 would be drop in compatible with the factory crossover.
$3000? Dude is higher than a kite..
    100% in agreement.

Exactly why I was calling him out, and wanting more info from him.

Funny thing; I voice texted a response to a thread years ago, of course it used "board" instead of "bored", man @Viking64 was on that like a hummingbird to nectar. Jimmy didn't let me forget for a week 😂🤣

I don't think anybody is going to let any of the speakers that have the wiggly waves on them be vintage too soon.
  • Seems to be some consensus that "vintage" means 25 years or older. Which would make anything before 2000 classified as vintage. "Antique" means 100 years or older (except maybe for cars, which might be "antique" at 25 years. So my Pioneer SX-1250 and my Polk SDA 2B Studios are vintage, but I usually think of them as "classic." I personally like to refer to myself as "midcentury modern."

    No Affil.

Anyone in the midwest, plains, central U.S. looking? These appear to be stock.
Asking price seems slightly higher than average in my opinion.
