signa solo

hi, my signa solo stopped working. It was working last night. when I
turned my tv on this am. to whatch news there was no sound. Any ideas
what I should do? I've unplugged all cables for soundbar and still there is
no sound.

  • My Signa Solo has done the same thing, absolutely no sound. That's with any input, Optical, Aux or Bluetooth. The LEDs indicate the correct input selection, and I have done a factory reset (Pwr & Source & Vol+ buttons on the top, with the LEDs flashing to show reset has been correctly commanded) but still no improvement. It is completely silent. Any ideas what it can be ?

  • same thing, Polk Signa Solo, leds work, hooked up a different soundbar and works. getting signal from tv. tried BT and aux and nothing. only 45 days old.

  • Very same thing has now happened to me. Almost 5 years old. Worked fine a couple days ago, then next time I turned it on: no sound. Remote works. LED’s work. ‘Twas using optical cable input. Tried AUX and BlueTooth on different devices to no avail. Essentially bricked. Factory reset does not help.
    Surely it’s salvageable???

    Having the same problem with my soundbar. Turned it off, and then back on later that day to watch tv, and nothing. The lights are on, but nobody's home...

    SeleniumFalcon - I have a Polk Signa Solo. I have tried everything to get it to work, and nothing. I purchased an aux cord, and tried it on my laptop, and still nothing. I have tried using the bluetooth, but in that mode neither my laptop, tv, or phone could find the soundbar. I had it connected with the optical cable, and tried a new one that works on my other tv and soundbar, but nothing on the Polk. Everything works but the sound - all the lights and buttons are responsive, just no sound.

    Thank you so much! They sent me a new soundbar, and a much better one at that. Polk is a great company.

    It sounds like your Polk Signa Solo soundbar might have encountered a common issue. Try these troubleshooting steps to get it working again:
    1. Check the Basics

    ✅ Ensure the soundbar is powered on – Look for an indicator light. If there’s no power, try a different outlet.
    ✅ Increase the volume – It might have been accidentally turned down or muted.
    ✅ Try a different input source – Switch between AUX, Optical, or Bluetooth to see if any work.
    ✅ Check TV audio settings – Make sure the TV is set to output sound through the soundbar (Optical or AUX, depending on your connection).
    2. Reset the Soundbar

    Unplug the soundbar from power for 5 minutes.

    Press and hold the "Power" and "Volume Up" buttons on the soundbar for 10 seconds while plugging it back in.

    Try playing audio again.

    3. Check the Connection Type

    🔹 Optical Cable Users – Ensure the cable is securely plugged in and check if the TV’s digital audio output is set to PCM (not Dolby Digital).
    🔹 Bluetooth Users – Try disconnecting and reconnecting from your device.
    4. Factory Reset (Last Resort)

    If nothing works, try a full reset:

    Turn off the soundbar.

    Press and hold the Bluetooth and Volume Down buttons for 10+ seconds until the LED blinks.

    The soundbar will restart and return to factory settings.

    К сожалению ничего не получилось.(
    Хочу добавить про работу светодиодов на саундбаре.
    Когда включаешь колонку в розетку, то загораются все три светодиода( два белых и один синий). Через две секунды остаётся гореть только один белый светодиод, а через 6 секунд этот светодиод начинает гореть в половину силы, как при фонкиции "сон" ( ночной режим). После этого саундбар реагирует только на кнопки изменения громкости. ( Светодиод начинает гореть ярче и потом снова становится тусклее ). Ни на какие "сбросы" колонка не реагирует.

    I want to add about the work of LEDs on the soundbar.
    When you plug the speaker into the outlet, all three LEDs light up (two white and one blue). After two seconds, only one white LED remains lit, and after 6 seconds, this LED begins to burn at half the strength, as with the "sleep" (night mode) phone. The soundbar then responds only to the volume buttons. (The LED starts to burn brighter and then becomes dimmer again). The column does not react to any "resets".
