Maybe not the same versions, but I did this comparison about 5 years ago and I ended up preferring the ones that were mastered by Barry Diament in late 80s. I also liked the the 24 bit downloads from the 2014 Davis remaster because they have greater dynamic range. So I ended up keeping the 24 bit versions on my server for streaming playback, and I have about 4 of the late 80s CDs (with the Red Ring). I did not like the 2004/5 remasters that I got through BMG. They were very percussion forward if I recall. I haven't listened to anything since the 2014 versions. -
