    Once a year or so I use my 1984 Magnavox FD-3040 CD player. Yep it still works. Small little basement stack. The Denon DRA-300 receiver, 33 WPC, was reviewed and tested finding it handles four ohm loads nicely. A little Baker Street playing.
    The original RCA outs from the Magnavox are quite short and are hardwired inside the case.

    I rocked to this at about 80-85db.s :D

    "The Heat of the Jungle" B)B)

    https://youtu.be/dsFwodOFkfg

    Drew's Karma Nordost Cables are sounding "FRIKEN FANTASTIC" now and I've just barely started breaking them in B):p

    The tone seems VERY well balanced from top to bottom now.

    The bass was lacking at first. REALLY lacking. I found out one end of one cable had switched colors. I covered their colors with the proper colored tape and re-installed them. All was right with the sound now.

    The bass was still lacking compared to my 14ga. ofc. speaker wire. But as I've played more and more, the bass really seems to have gotten louder. These cables really seemed to make my Hartley mini-Reference Towers sound like my Def. Tech. BP30s. That's saying something too. ;)

    The Hartley's had a forward midrange and highs. The bass sounded like a Pro-speaker's bass. Like Cerwin Vega 12" woofers sound like. ;)

    Top to bottom, these cables have now elevated the sound coming out of these Hartley's. Very smooth highs now. The mids are clear and listenable. The bass seems like the 2-6.5s in each speaker are 15" paper coned woofers with rolled surrounds. Smooth impacts in a sense.

    AMAZING transformations. 5 stars!

    Experimental Audio Research;
    fb5ojfffekql.jpg
    Experimental Audio Research (E.A.R.) was formed in 1990 by Sonic Boom (2) (real name Pete Kember) as a solo and collaborative ensemble in order to pursue the more experimental work he had contributed to Spacemen 3 since the 1980s. The project revolves around two separate yet overlapping areas - studio recording and live performance, both environments being treated as complimentary but different sides of the same coin.

    Recorded live via soundboard in Tokyo on 7.9.1981.
