That's weird to me to see y'all's gas prices going up. They have been steadily falling in our area. I believe a month or two ago, it was around $3.50 per gallon.

I don't see gas prices going up, although it is historically seasonal. Also, WTI Crude Oil futures are down around 16% since the inauguration, which is one of the driving influences of gas prices.

Has anyone else noticed and wondered why we are necroposting on a thread that is more than 20 years old?
Why is the Clubhouse Archive even open to new posts?
But hey, gas prices in Georgia have been stable for a year or more roughly between $2.70-$3.20 depending if your in a rich part of town or not. Near me, it has almost always been just under $3.

I went out earlier and noticed prices at half the stations are now @ $3.19. The rest will catch up by tomorrow or Friday.

Do you guys see 70 cent price differences in your area?

I'm talking like 3.19 and literally half mile down the road 2.50 at a different station?

Always amazed me... Also amazed me that the station at 3.19 a gallon would have people pumping gas...

Because certain members just LOVE to make things political, and the other gas threads have all been shut down. So, instead of starting another one, I found this one and we can continue on with this discussion instead.

You say this (necroposting) like it's a bad thing. We are still on topic.....albeit 20 years later. No biggie.

I tend to notice that the closer to the interstate, the higher the price - but only 20-30 cents here…

Gas was cheap in CA when we lived there ('89-91) as they were making it down in SoCal, and I guess the state taxes were still low in those days.
It was funny -- in those days, once one got past the price of housing, everything else in CA was inexpensive, and the produce (e.g.) was exceptional in quality and variety.
    Traffic was icky, though.

I had the highest respect for George, but I don't think even he would appreciate being called Esq. He was a working man, a retired Master Sergeant if I recall, and if I knew him at all, I'd say he probably had a general detestation for attorneys. I'm sure some others may correct me on his rank. RIP George.

I know what esquire means, and in the modern day United States, it is usually added to the surname of a lawyer, as a mark of respect. In the the days of European aristocracy, it was often used as a title for a Knight in training. We left that behind when we crossed the pond.

Don’t understand the people pumping gas thing….
Are there still full service gas stations that pump gas for folks?

In Florida many moons ago, when we went to the gas stations, they’d pump your gas, check your oil and fluids…. fill if needed without cost, check air pressure in your tires and adjust if needed, check your wiper blades, clean your windshield and the rest of your glass to influence tips, all with a smile, respect and proudness of doing a great job.
One of the awesomeness jobs to get as a high-schooler was to work at a gas station!

Sorry for the f-d up formation of my post as we are enjoying some frosty beverages 😬

    What service? Pump your gas?

I might be wrong in assuming but I doubt they'll clean your windows, check your oil, wipers, and tire air pressure.

12 to 15 bucks for pumping gas and a bad attitude, no thanks.
