  • Re: photography and shaking...
All y'all may know this already, but the old pro trick for minimizing shake sans a tripod (or monopod, or other stabilizing aid): start to exhale slowly and evenly, then press the shutter while exhaling.

Got a slightly better pic of the moon from my porch this evening, shot with my Galaxy S22

Which S22 do you have? The small one or the Ultra with the S-pen?
The Ultra has a much better optical zoom so that would explain your ability to get that photo. My S24 Plus can't get that kind of detail on the moon, even when I brace it to a railing.

Most of us learned that in our pre-teen years with a pellet gun or other such handheld projectile machinery.

Also, they changed the date-posted format to something weird. Looks like it is supposed to be YYYY MM, but there are instances of 2024 26 and the like. Check the date on the "Forum Rules Refresh - Please read" discussion.

Dude I have a galaxy 22... How in the...??

I know, a girl I used to hang with showed me. Just zoom all the way in, takes a steady hand, once you have it, it'll lock in focus, then shoot.

Are you like a surgeon who does open heart surgery or something?

Holy crap man. Next time my wife says my phone takes blurry photos I'll show her this photo and tell her it's operator error!

LOL, old hunting technique, take a breath, let out half and hold it......then....squeeze the trigger :D

It does nothing here. On other sites that take a more social media approach (Reddit), posts that are upvoted will appear at the top.
