I would also worry about the rigid (and sharp) copper wire damaging the internals of the RCA Jack…

Shoot, for actual sound? I'd worry about just having a solid connection. I think Jesse said it best....WTF?

An unbelievable shortage of skills for The National Archives.

Can You Read This Cursive Handwriting? The National Archives Wants Your Help
    bkfc282qum1t.png

Anyone with an internet connection can volunteer to transcribe historical documents and help make the archives’ digital catalog more accessible

The National Archives is brimming with historical documents written in cursive, including some that date back more than 200 years. But these texts can be difficult to read and understand— particularly for Americans who never learned cursive in school.

So, I asked my son to read this (11th grade, taking college course classes) and I'll be damned....he shot off the first sentence or two like it was nothing. I was flabbergasted.

It turns out that he WAS taught cursive last year. Who knew?

He had the same issues I did, when it came to certain words that were, shall I say, not written completely or the pen was running out of ink. The point is that there is hope for America's future. I thought cursive was LONG gone from being taught. It just goes to show you that you learn something every day.

The primary school my kids went to, it was mandatory to learn cursive. Even before the province decided to bring it back into the school system. I honestly don't know if middle school or highschool mandate it. I'll have to ask my kids. They all use Chromebooks now

Something else that is GOING / MISSING!

Conversation may be a lost art, but here are expert tips for reviving it
In a world ruled by social media, relearning (or learning for the first time) to connect through spoken words can be satisfyingly novel.

    05eiudkhaor7.png
Ariel Ghinga, founder of Atlanta Public Speaking, shows how gestures and understanding someone’s body language are an integral part of a conversation.

Welcome to the world of texting, emailing and putting messages up on a Jumbotron rather than having a face-to-face conversation — or even one on the phone. People conduct business, engage in friendships and, yes, dump boyfriends and girlfriends via social media.

Social media is taking over our conversations, and maybe many of us don’t know how to have real ones.

You could do this and store all your MAC-10s in the doors. (Facing inward. Don't ask me how I know this.)
