Am I the only one that sees that cover and think " Why would the best toys to give your child be Christmas lingerie???"
You are, indeed, not.
But I am afraid that says more about us than it does the magazine cover.

This is my latest poster acquisition it’s #14 in the Kaleidoscope series. The Kaleidoscope was a psychedelic rock venue run by the management of the band Canned Heat. It was only open for about 6 months in 1968. It had some memorable posters and some memorable bands, but it was one of many unsuccessful efforts to compete with the Filmore.
What better way to represent the late 60’s than an attractive nude in body paints. Headliner was the Iron Butterfly. Posters from this venue are round as the stage in the Kaleidoscope was round
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

I think this DS conversion is super cool. However, it surely must have an engine swap to be at all useful in this role. I had one on loan for a few months (while the owner was staying in a Dutch government, ahem, hotel) and it would have had trouble pulling the skin off a rice pudding.
