If you remove the plate amp and send it in to a reputable repair shop, they should be able to diagnose and repair it. FWIW

I have two dead PSW505's, I guess I'll be taking them someplace.... now to start that search.

The bench fee will be more than it's worth to repair them unfortunately...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

What would you suspect it would cost in your experiences Roof? -
Bench fees alone are usually $125-150. You might save a little with two. Depending on where you are, you can find an SVS PB 1000 for 350-400, and that will trounce both of your current subs put together. I would go in that direction.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
