This thing was a pain to re-pot last year. Had to bring soil up from bottom and around pot to fill it. The heavy foliage doesn't allow dumping it in from the top.

It gives me an Adams family cousin Itt vibe, but the wife calls it a Silver King Hoya. It flowers twice a year filling the house with a nice fragrance.

That's a lovely plant (and gorgeous flower cluster)!
I tell folks that Mrs. H and I torture house plants. It's sad -- but accurate. :#

After four decades of - shall we say - unnatural selection, almost all that's left here are jade plants and Christmas cactus. They're pretty rugged.

It appears to be an actual photo that was taken at some point in time on the planet Earth, if that's what you mean. I just found it on Google image search.

Looks like a dealership showroom or something like that, unless someone just has a really large speaker collection and poor taste in interior decorating.

Haha, but you'd never get caught hoarding B&W speakers, even if they were only just for decoration.

That said -- I mean, if I found a few on the swap pile, I'd almost certainly pick 'em up.

We didn't get the snow today. We did get clouds, but they opened up for a moment just around sunset.

"It's 1937 and the midst of a depression. However, the Lincoln Tunnel (NYC) opens to traffic, San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge is dedicated, Marx Brothers' " A Day At The Races" and Disney's "Snow White" movies are released, Joe DiMaggio hits 3 consecutive home runs against St. Louis, Joe Louis is heavyweight champion, DuPont patents NYLON, 1st Social Security payments delivered during FDR's second term as President, SPAM debuts as something to eat, the soap opera "Guiding Light" premiers on NBC Radio and PHILCO introduces the model No.38-62 AM radio for sale to the general public albeit with a 1936 No.37-62 chassis inside. These few perspectives highlight the historical age akin to this fine old Philco radio set."
