    Accidentally landed on this picture:

Burning Man art car. It has over 4,000 led lights and is powered by a 28hp 2 cylinder engine. It can creep slowly or go about 10 mph. It has 5 forward and 1 reverse speed. It has a dual battery setup, one for the engine and one to power all the electronics and sound system.

What light? The one that warns of the approach of a helicopter with a really small propeller on top?

Why is there a check engine light in a modern car?
It would cost maybe $50 to display real messages.
They even put a little snowflake light in the wife's
Car to tell you it's below freezing out.

I've had two Japanese cars in which the outside thermometer display flashes at 37 degrees (F). Presumably it's meant to warn of possible freezing conditions -- but in neither car (a RAV-4 and a Crosstrek) was this documented in the OM.

I just thought that was odd.

The wife freaked out when she saw the snowflake flashing and called
me at work. I figured it out pretty quickly. I guess people are no longer
Capable of watching for winter conditions without an idiot light.
Brave new world. My first couple of cars didn't even have seat belts.

Back in the 80's I had an 86 BMW 325 that would ding and flash a snowflake symbol on the dash when it approached 35 degrees. Constantly making the driver take his eyes off the road to look at the stupid flashing snowflake. Kind of like my '22 Tacoma that would ding and flash a weird symbol when it sensed wheel slip. Now I'm driving down an icy road trying to read the operators manual to see WTF that symbol means instead of just using my own instincts. Sometimes technology sucks.
