Looking for Surround Receiver Recommendations

I’m looking at, or under, $1,000.

Specifically looking for a receiver that has room correction, but will allow me to adjust crossover points and roll-off slopes, in case I don’t like the final outcome.

Also want pre-outs for better amplification.

Context: I recently put Def Tech Mythos Ones in my living room surround system, but my Yamaha RX-V777 room correction has speakers and sub crossed over at 120Hz.
i’m
Mythos Ones can certainly play down to 80Hz with ease, but I can’t manually adjust the crossover point.

I read through the manual, but don’t see anything that allows for this.

This is my submission for your consideration:

NAD T758 from Safe and Sound HQ

They may not have understated specifications to the same extent that they used to, but NAD still make a solid, audiophile, often overlooked product IMHO, and Safe and Sound HQ are a high quality, customer oriented distributor. NAD will also respond to customer requests for assistance with detailed, technical information.

This includes Dirac Live room correction (reputedly one of the best) and pre-outs, which you may find that you don’t even need. Even the remote is still decent, although not the flawless tank the older ones used to be.

NAD remains something of a boutique brand, but without the huge prices that are being asked for what has essentially become a micro-niche product in today’s world of sound bars and Sonus connected speakers.

Will it allow me to have manual control over the crossover frequency?

Not sure about others, but it’s not easy to find anything full featured for under $1K. 😢

The NAD will not only allow you to adjust crossover settings individually from 40Hz to 200Hz, but you can also save multiple pre-sets, that can be called up from the remote, and those presets can have different crossover settings.

Otherwise, Marantz has been popular on this forum recently, perhaps as a sister company. 🤷‍♂️

The only Marantz that comes in under $1K (by $1) is the 5015. It will also let you adjust crossover frequencies and is available from the same online retailer as the NAD mentioned above.

Maybe this reply will get your thread a bump, and some other suggestions.

Did some research on NAD T758. They advertised this piece well, but found some alarming measurements on this one over at ASR (as of 09/2019, when measured); looks like, in this case, NAD was selling their name rather than the product, unfortunately.
