A few of my finer sets. :p

How often do you play? Those look great.

Unfortunately a few games about every 10 years :'( . The last 2 friends who played chess with me here or at their homes a lot moved away. :(

I haven't pursued getting up with local chess players either. My health and clutter got in the way big-time.It's getting close now though. I've gone through all my STUFF the past couple of years and still have a lot to downsize for MORE space and fall is a few days away. I'll get more active again very soon and get back to the goal of setting up that chess table and chairs.

The heat was brutal the past month or more and I found out my driver's licence was past due for renewal by a YEAR. :o I had to wait a month to get a new one. That sucked! I'm legal now. :D

My wife is a good player but we don't play.

My friends close to me on my street over the years who can't play don't want to learn no matter how much I tried to convince them it's easy to learn. :|

I saw an essay today on www.curbsideclassic.com on the arc of the Buick Riviera and it made me think of you :)
I'll share the link & a couple of images (since this is a photo thread!).

How NOT to get your truck out of the mud...

The 14" drop hitch broke with so much tension, that the broken hitch went straight toward the driver of the truck, killing him.

Here's a little more info of what not to do

Yikes, that's awful. On one of our jobsites, mobile mini was picking up a container and the cable broke. Didn't kill the guy but he was in the hospital for 8 months.

That's me bro'. My favorite. (Leave it to you to point that out!)

TBT, we were both more than half tilted in this photo. (As if it's any different when family gets together).

Good times man, good times! Looking forward to the same thing in a couple of months...

Reflections of the past... Oh, what it would be to do this now.... Ordering a house from the Sears Catalog...

Please note - 1934 Was The Height Of The Great Depression.

    Tom

Our son-in-law's parents live in a Sears house (early 20th Century).
It is in fact a very cool house (if a bit small), with nice woodwork inside.
