    I might've even made room for them if they were local, but....

    I've filled up some space lately with those gifts of JBL's and Cerwin Vega's.

    But time will tell what makes me fall off the wagon again by buying some other speakers at a great price. :D

    @Clipdat

    I’ll probably wait until they get down to $1500 used. It just feels wrong to me to spend more than that on amp that weighs like a Class D (I know it is A/B).

    Maybe if I hear one first, but definitely can’t do a blind purchase at current price.

    I guess if you value/rank an amplifier's worth by how heavy and large it is, then yeah it wouldn't score well in those regards.

    I’m not meaning what I said to indicate I would write-off the amp, I just wouldn’t risk a blind purchase for that amount. I would very much like to hear this amp.

    I also recently posted about interest in the lightweight AVA amps.

    But I generally like my amps heavy; true.

    ESS AMT 1AM speakers south of Nashville, for $1,500:

    https://nashville.craigslist.org/ele/d/thompsons-station-ess-amt-1am-speakers/7504918927.html
    Might not necessarily be a great deal, but these are fairly rare, and this pair is in good nick. Obviously, they have the famous Heil Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeters. No affiliation, but I have purchased two other pairs of speakers from the seller, and he always has good stuff - tons of excellent, vintage, audio gear. Like many of us, he has a very understanding wife.
