I bought a new tiller to dig up a sections of garbage grass I've had for 30 years.
    It's a Sun Joe TJ604E. What a GREAT electric tiller. ;)

I destroyed the dense, hard grass in an afternoon and bagged 5-50lb. bags of it.

Now to put Centepede sod or seed down.

Here's the next section to get tilled soon. It has mostly crap grass that has dense thick roots and rock hard top pan too.

Wasn't the Reatta built on the same platform as the Cadillac Allante?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Allanté

Maybe so. They were built about the same time period. The Allante was the big brother that had a V8 in it.

    @schwarcw ~ Carl and @pitdogg2 ~ Ivan.

For over four months, we were tuned into Gin and Tonics on Saturday nights.
Didn't think about a martini until FILTHY OLIVE BRINE was discovered. Fantastic stuff.
Personally, dirty martinis were never my favorite, but we were blown away with the first sip.

My Dad’s favorite cocktail was the Old Fashion. His evolved into club soda muddled with bitters and a sugar cube, ice, a shot of whiskey and enough soda to fill the glass, then garnished with a lemon wedge, either squeezed or previously muddled. This was how we did them for many years. Lately, we changed to rye whiskey, no sugar or simple syrup and a slice of orange, half muddled and half as a garnish. Lots of different bitters available now, but we usually come back to Angostura. It’s always interesting to check out the many variations of this cocktail when we are dining out.
Edit: BTW, Bulliet is a good rye to try.

I like it. Next time I'll use a little less bitters (3 dashes instead of 4) as I think it hid the flavor of the bourbon too much. That Bulleit Bourbon is some SPICY stuff.

    Do you have this one?

@aprazer402 yes I do have that one 😂

Unfortunately there was some masking tape on the cover and I thought I could get it off unscathed.

Did you see Maggie Peterson (Charlene Darling) just passed away Sunday in Colorado?

I remember her a little from the show. I really like The Andy Griffith Show, but have not re-watched a lot of the shows in recent years. Wasn't Ernest T. always chasing her?
Thanks for sharing the news of her passing.

The Old Fashioned is my favorite. I usually use the Barsmith mixer and Angustora bitters. I’ve recently been using Elijah Craig small batch as the whiskey. I know using the mixer is frowned on by some, but I like it and it’s easy to make.

I’m also a fan of Bulleit. It’s not a cheap whiskey, but it’s still a great value IMO.
