Every hobby has their stratospheric costs levels.
I'm thinking some of these fantastic camera owners have Aiwa portable stereos at home. Just a guess though.
It took me a LONG time to spend 350.00 for a camera and that was partly because it was a 500.00 camera on sale.
I spent 800.00 on a set of speakers years ago. BUT a camera costing 800?, I couldn't think of it.Still can't.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

Last night I took the dog out. From across the river, someone was jamming concert lever sound "Play that Funky Music White Boy" at midnight. I'm miles away. Can't imagine how loud it was over there.

So what happens if you use all four at once? Does it become quad?

I was looking for some information on the 1960s Sherwood Tanglewood loudspeakers (the reason for which is irrelevant to this post
) and I stumbled across this amusing bit of promotional placement in a Sherwood ad from 1968.

As an aside, I've owned two of these early soiled state solid state tuners (well, actually, the AM-FM morph, called the S-2300). Neither of them worked properly. In contrast, all of the vacuum tube Sherwood tuners I own (or owned... I did get rid of one or two of 'em along the way) worked well "as found", even when they were very, very cheap.Just anecdotal data, of course.
The second of the two S-2300s I owned is visible (not especially well, unfortunately) on the top right on the shelves in this old-ish photo from the days when the hifi room here in NH hadn't totally silted in with junk.

Pretty much, except not with an electron microscope. Usually with an HPLC or a spectrophotometer or spectrofluorimeter. And we were all usually more rumpled looking.
Otherwise, yeah, that's us.
