A skinny jean is essentially a cut more tapered than than a straight leg. some designers make skinny jeans that are just tight-legged but then have a tapered ankle that is akin to a mild boot cut.

But make no mistake, my friend, they are no fashion blunder. As you pointed out, they are veritable chick magnets.

No sir.........never ever will I wear a pair of skinny jeans. Same with those damn "ultra-fitted" dress shirts. Bought one by accident b/c I liked the look of the shirt. Got home, tried it on, and I felt like the frickin incredible hulk............except I haven't been to the gym in about 5 years. The sooner the "skinny" clothing trend goes away the better...

    Was that a riddle?

By the way, mens drop crotch pants are something completely different. And are trending the same way Mens dresses were 5 years ago. They're for hardcore fashionistas, and little else.

Skinny jeans are the only ones that properly fit my skinny ****, so I wear them.

I also think a lot of porkers would if they could.

As pointed out earlier, so called new trends are actually from past trends (retro). I use to wear and loved fitted shirts in the late 70s. Keep in mind I was in my early 20s and could afford to wear them. Like you, I would look like the Hulk (without the muscle mass) if I were to wear one today.:cry:

Unfortunately the gym is not always the answer (or could be nightmare, asking for a miracle) when aging.

Was just toying with the chain of statements (making fun).

I did have skinny **** (and everything else...) in my early 20s but even then I would not have felt comfortable wering them.

I do not consider my self a porker but I have to admit I would not look too good in them (it would probably look gross). I sure can not imagine skinny jeans with the pot.

Anybody notice that PFB is conspicuously absent from this discussion? He starts these stupid posts and then is probably sitting back with his junk in his hand and laughing at us for wasting our time with him. A silly little man....

Let's stop and think here a little. This is a trend for PFB, he starts thread that gets people going and then gets away from them. Most of his threads get attention, he is very entertaining (proof is pages of reply), he knows it, sits back and surely have a ball reading the replies and the attention he is getting, very clever!

Well Ken I think your post is quite rood and has forced me to chime in lol

The other day I could not find the remote and I could really feel my sack being saddled on the right side as I was selecting a tune on the squeeze box. This was mainly due to the narrow thigh of the levi 511 I was wearing that particular day. But today was a good day, I was crossing my legs and never got that feeling like my jeans were trying to squeeze out the last of the tooth paste. I think this was down to the fit of the levi 514's more spacious crotch but at the same time rocking the skinny look without the buns of steal effect I got from 511's.

Was this the kind of response I was supposed to chime in with ? I think that after the op anything I would have said would have not gotten a good reception. Lighten up Ken and maybe go try on some of your wifes jeans and ask yourself 'how can something so wrong feel so right '

Quote from the episode The Large Hadron Collision
Leonard: What would you do if you were me?
Wolowitz: I would take PFB to Switzerland!
    Leonard: Really?
Wolowitz: Yes, and I'd leave him there!

Skinny jeans are perfectly fine for very fit, thin girls under 22.

After 22 they can be admired in yoga pants. They just had a yoga pants thread on 4 chan.

I have never seen a woman on the street wearing those. But I wish I could.
