Welding a metal spacer

Would there be any negative to welding a metal spacer onto your door pannel for my momos, the door WILL be dynamated compeltly.
2013 Toyota Prius

    I see it this way man....It is a permanent solution to your problem, so take that into consideration...A spacer is a spacer really...Do it and call it done.

    if anything it'll simply be added structural integrity to what is likely a flimsy door panel inner.

    I noticed it was broke, but I assumed it was the fault of my old iPad. Whoever did this forum upgrade needs to be fired ASAP.

    @pitdogg2 We have a full-time moderator assigned here now so I only check in periodically. I jumped in right after I started to get the forum back online because I thought it was super important for Polk and for our customers. I'm spending most of my time working on what I was hired to do: launching new products, and developing marketing for the brand.
